Retained in the total cohort

Recorded attendance and a resolved school identity are separate questions. The sector summary includes 47 people with any recorded school name. The coverage report identifies 39 people with verified or provisional institution matches, leaving 187 outside that evidence coverage. These evidence counts differ from the 179 with no institutional school name recorded. Home education is retained as non-institution evidence and excluded from school-sector denominators, school directories and maps.

Unconfirmed institution matches remain visible, including in “Other”. School identities describe original attended schools; profile and location context can refer to a reviewed successor. Displayed map points do not establish a verified historical attendance location. This release does not claim that every member's education has been researched.

59 distinct represented schools · 55 with map coordinates · 4 without map coordinates · 62 secondary-education assertions. These are school and assertion counts, rather than additional members.

“Mixed” requires both government and Catholic or independent attendance. Additional “Other” records do not change an otherwise government-only or non-government-only classification. “Other” preserves records without a supported sector classification, including unresolved matches.

ABS enrolment benchmark — a separate population

The ABS benchmark describes Australian school student enrolments in 2025. Parliament's column describes recorded school classifications among this term's members. These populations and dates differ; the benchmark is not a historical attendance estimate.

Only comparable named sectors are included; combined and unresolved records remain outside these rows.

What these results measure

APEMAP links secondary-school attendance recorded in parliamentary biographies to canonical school identities. It keeps the recorded name, source, confidence and any reviewed rename or successor mapping together.

Each person contributes once to the member classifications. A person who attended several schools can contribute to several school attendance records. Shared-school counts identify people, rather than the number of assertions about them.

Attendance does not establish graduation. Missing records do not establish that a person did not attend secondary school.

School profile and finance values describe the institution in their reporting year, not the resources available when the parliamentarian attended. Reviewed successor mappings describe the successor institution.
