Overview

I developed a website for Jake Bright, an independent vintage Polaroid camera technician. The business is based in Perth, Australia, as stated on its live website when reviewed on 1 October 2026.

The project brings together visual design, reusable Eleventy templates, Tailwind CSS and build-time image processing. The public source repository documents the Eleventy, WebC, Nunjucks and Sharp stack.

Visual Identity & Templates

The design uses colour blocks inspired by the Polaroid Color Spectrum, with Righteous display typography and Raleway body text. Reusable templates organise camera photographs, service information and contact links into a static site.

Build-Time Image Processing

Camera servicing involves detailed photographs of internals, lenses and replacement coverings. The image pipeline uses Sharp and @11ty/eleventy-img to prepare responsive assets during the build:

  • AVIF and WebP variants with a JPEG fallback.
  • Multiple widths selected through <picture> and srcset markup.
  • Image dimensions, native lazy loading and asynchronous decoding in the generated markup.

These are implementation features visible in the source configuration. Search positions and numeric performance scores require separate, dated measurements; neither is used as a project metric here.

Service Information & Enquiry Paths

The site provides direct contact and social links for camera owners to discuss repairs and current pricing. Service prices can change, so this case study directs readers to the business’s current channels.

At the 1 October 2026 review, the live site advertised a 12-month limited warranty on cameras sold. That statement describes the business’s current sales policy; visitors should check the live site for the applicable terms and repair arrangements.
